A fantastic night of comedy is in store, as we return for our 3rd year to the truly stunning Festival Theatre at Hever Castle. Set in the 125-acre gardens of the former childhood home of Anne Boleyn. This is the second of our two amazing nights of live stand-up comedy this summer, on the wonderful outdoor stage.

Nathan Caton is one of the most exciting young comedians on the scene. Gigging since the tender age of 19, over the last 2 decades, he has established himself both as a circuit headliner, and a name on TV and radio.

Within his first few years on stage, he had picked up various accolades and coveted plaudits including the Chortle Student Comic of the Year award and Broadcast Hotshot and written and starred in a pilot for Paramount Comedy (now Comedy Central) entitled The Nathan Caton Show.

Since then, Caton has gone from strength to strength, wowing audiences at comedy clubs up and down the UK, and on his numerous TV and radio appearances, with his delightfully charming blend of personal and political comedy.

He excels in combining both personal and confessional material with up-to-date social and political anecdotes. This has earned him numerous TV and radio credits over the years and has made him one of the hottest headliners on the UK stand-up comedy scene.

This softly-spoken Welsh comedian boasts a densely packed arsenal of impressive one-liners and hilarious short stories. Morgan has appeared on BBC Radio 4 in the prestigious finals of the BBC New Comedy Award. He was also a runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny 2017, and a finalist in Chortle Student Comedy Award.

Morgan Rees is a highly acclaimed stand-up, writer and actor. This energetic and hilarious Welshman boasts shows full of one-liners, rolling stories and superb observations. A greatly in-demand stand-up and MC, Morgan can be seen regularly at all major comedy clubs throughout the country. 

While not performing, Morgan writes for other comedians and supplies additional material for flagship shows such as Mock The Week, The Great American Joke-Off etc. He’s the co-writer of the internet sensation Uncle Roger and was co-writer of the Broadcast Award-nominated sketch show, East Mode on Comedy Central.

Morgan also co-hosts the hit podcast Chatting With Cherubs about queer joy, current affairs (a bit) and mostly nonsense from that week.

Jonny Awsum is an award-winning comedian who has charmed audiences all around the world with his high-energy performance style and unique brand of musical comedy.

Jonny regularly headlines across all the top UK comedy clubs including the Glee Clubs, Hot Water, The Comedy Store, Up The Creek, Manfords Comedy Clubs, Frog and Bucket and many more.

After building his reputation on the UK comedy circuit, where he is a regular headliner and closing act, Jonny shot to national fame on Britain’s Got Talent. His TV performances won standing ovations and unanimous praise from the judges and went viral on the internet, racking up over 50 million views on YouTube.

Following BGT, Jonny enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months including a sell-out five-star reviewed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, a starring role in his first pantomime, and tour support to both Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face on their hit UK theatre tours.

After being inundated with requests to perform his own tour, Jonny created the show ‘Jonny Awsum is Coming to Town’ and played to full houses in many of the UK’s towns before COVID-19 put a temporary halt on live performances.

Undeterred, Jonny set about writing a virtual show specifically for youngsters. The show proved a hit, winning Best Kids’ Show at the 2021 Leicester Comedy Festival and is now being booked for live performances by family-friendly festivals and events all across the country.

In 2022, Jonny performed at the Glastonbury Festival, supported Jason Manford in arenas around the country and recorded his 2000th show for a new live album. 2023 saw Jonny take to the high seas, performing for P&O on their brand new excellence-class cruise ships ‘Arvia’ and ‘Iona’.

Original and provocative, Dane Baptiste is hailed as one of the most exciting acts in British Comedy. The London-born stand-up made history in 2014 as the first Black British act to be nominated for a comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for his debut stand-up show Citizen Dane.

Following this nomination, the show enjoyed incredible success at London’s Soho Theatre completing two sold-out runs with additional dates added due to phenomenal demand. His second stand-up show Reasonable Doubts was again met with huge critical acclaim and performed to sold-out audiences at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe, with his first nationwide solo tour following in 2016. In 2018 Dane set out on a massive world tour, covering numerous territories, with his smash hit third stand-up hour G.O.D. (Gold. Oil. Drugs).

During the 2020 lockdown Baptiste performed on The Big Night In (BBC One) for Children in Need and Comic Relief. He has also hosted Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), Live from the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and created, wrote and starred in his own sitcom Sunny D (BBC Three/One), which was the first black sitcom commissioned by the BBC in 20 years.

Dane also hosts his own hugely successful podcast Dane Baptiste Questions Everything, which was acquired by Acast in 2020. In October 2020, Dane’s satirical new pilot Bamous was commissioned by BBC Three. Dane created and presented the comedy entertainment show which celebrated Blackness and Britishness.

In 2021 Dane launched his Chocolate Chip Tour to critical acclaim with shows continuing in 2022.

Dane finished 2021 with regular appearances on Steph’s Packed Lunch and Unapologetic, both for Channel 4 and recently launched his YouTube series The A-Z of Blackness.

2023 saw Dane return to the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time in 5 years with his new show Bapsquire.

Dane’s Live work has gone from strength to strength since his debut show ‘Citizen Dane’; with successive live shows ‘Reasonable Doubts’ and ‘Gold Oil and Drugs’ not only being sell out international tour shows as far afield as Australia and the UAE, but also being adapted for shows such as ‘Live At The BBC’ on Netflix and ‘Live At Soho Theatre’ on Amazon Prime.
