It’s great, to finally be back with our award-winning monthly comedy nights, in our home town of EAST GRINSTEAD, West Sussex. In the town where it all began over 13 years ago.
We’re finally back in East Grinstead, at the fantastic space of the Crowne Plaza Felbridge Hotel Ballroom again. For the next season of Grinstock Comedy, and what use to be the largest independent monthly comedy club night in the South, Pre Covid times. Here’s hoping you’ve all missed our monthly nights as much as we have, and we can get back to our hugely packed out shows, for our 13 season of Comedy in East Grinstead.

Slim is one of the UK’s biggest stand up stars and the undisputed king of the Black British comedy circuit. Physical, ebullient and unashamedly for the people, his multi award winning 20 year career has seen him perform to thousands all over the world.
His popular and all embracing brand of humour is generous, smart and bursting with infectious energy. He’s toured the world extensively including the whole of Europe, Barbados, Jamaica, Qatar, the Falklands Islands, Dubai and even performed at the N.A.T.O Headquarters in Belgium.
He’s sold out several smash hit tours, including the Hackney Empire numerous times over. Slim has also supported several high profile US acts including Kevin Hart. In 2021 he recorded his latest hit stand up special Slim: Live at the Palladium.
Slim was also the first Black British act invited to perform at the Hollywood Comedy Store.
In 2020, Slim was one of the stars of Black, British and Funny (Channel 4), a groundbreaking documentary showcasing legends of the Black British comedy circuit. Other TV credits include Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), The Steph Show (Channel 4).

Provocative, anarchic and unfiltered, Russell Hicks is a risk-taking comic whirlwind, captivating audiences with his razor-sharp wit, acute observations and slick take-downs. From the moment he steps on stage, crowds are hooked by Hicks’ infectiously rebellious personality, brash Americanisms and unapologetic style as he creates a one-of-a-kind comedy experience.
Russell has already created bespoke content with Facebook, Instagram and Yahoo. His branded partnerships and commercial work includes; Google, PayPal and Zipcar. Russell has also established himself as a major player on the comedy circuit, regularly hosting and headlining at clubs nationwide including Hot Water Comedy Club, The Stand, Glee Clubs and Up the Creek, and has his own monthly residency at Top Secret Comedy Club in London.
Such is his unique skill at adapting to any situation presented to him, Russell has been in constantly high demand throughout 2020. He has adapted to the new online world and has taken on projects ranging from hosting digital events formats to performing at corporate online functions and comedy club nights, proving his versatility as performer and artist.
Russell is also a brilliant writer and currently has a project in development with the BBC, so watch this space!

Tim FitzHigham is a Perrier nominated, multi-award-winning comedian, explorer, presenter, and author.
Among numerous TV credits as a comedian, he has presented several documentaries for BBC 1 and Super Human Challenge for CBBC.
Tim has written and performed in two series of The Gambler, for Radio 4 based on his hugely-successful 2011 Edinburgh Fringe show, whilst keeping up his many stage and film appearances.

In 2015 he won the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (an award also won by acts such as Johnny Vegas, Jason Manford, Rhod Gilbert and Romesh Ranganathan) which he never stops banging on about. He was also a BBC Radio New Comedy Award finalist and his 2018 Edinburgh show was nominated for the Amused Moose Comedy Award. He plays the well-read fool, taking on hugely diverse facts, but refusing to deal with them conventionally, with a unique turn of phrase.
He generated a huge buzz following his recent his 2021 Edinburgh Fringe Show, Tom Little Makes A Triumphant Return to Stand Up, which was a sell-out success after a ringing endorsement from Chortle, with the reviewer commenting, ‘this is a title I can endorse’.
He has a keen online following with 90 thousand followers on Tik Tok and 2.2 million Likes.
